How we clean your windows

We use a water-fed pole system, which means purified water and no ladders against your property.

Ordinary tap water carries dissolved minerals. When it dries on glass it leaves those minerals behind, which is what spotting and streaking actually is. Purified water has had them filtered out, so it dries clear without needing to be squeegeed or buffed.

The practical difference for you:

  • The frames and sills get cleaned too, not just the glass. That’s where most of the visible grime sits.
  • Nothing leans against your house. No ladders on your guttering, your conservatory roof or your flower beds.
  • Upstairs windows are no harder than downstairs. Awkward access over a conservatory or an extension isn’t a problem.
  • No detergents. Nothing running off into your borders or onto your paintwork.

Because the glass is left genuinely clean rather than polished over a film of residue, it stays looking right for longer.

How often should windows be cleaned?

For most Kent homes, every four to eight weeks keeps them consistently clean.

It depends more on where you live than on the property itself. Windows on a busy road pick up traffic film quickly. Properties under heavy tree cover get sap and leaf debris. Anywhere near the coast, so Folkestone, Hythe, Whitstable and Herne Bay, gets salt deposits that build up faster than inland.

Most of our customers start with a one-off clean and move onto a regular round once they see the difference. There’s no contract and no obligation. If you’d rather just have them done before Christmas and again in spring, that’s fine too.

Commercial premises usually want more frequent visits, since a dirty shopfront is the first thing a customer sees.

It depends on the size of the property and how many windows there are. A terraced house is at the lower end, a large detached with a conservatory towards the higher. We’ll give you a fixed price before any work starts and there’s no charge for quoting.
No. Almost all of our window cleaning is external, so as long as we can get access round the property you don’t need to be in. Just let us know about locked gates, dogs or anything else we should know about.
Yes, as standard. The frames and sills are usually where the visible dirt is, so cleaning the glass alone tends to look half-finished.
No. We bring our own purified water with us, so there’s nothing for you to provide.
